Michael E. Simony, D.D.S., was the first dental student to ever receive an honorary Concurrent Resolution by the Michigan House of Representatives and Senate in honor of his research and lecture presentation to health professionals across the state. His award-winning presentation topic was on the oral manifestations of AIDS.
Upon graduation from the University of Detroit Dental School in 1992, he was invited to return as a prosthodontic instructor for the school. Dr. Simony completed an internship at the Peter Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study in Florida in 1993. In 2001, Dr. Simony completed the F.O.R.C.E. International Orthodontic internship in Birmingham, Michigan, as well as the achievement of Invisalign Certification.

Dr. Marco Simony grew up in Shelby Township, Michigan, where he developed an interest in dentistry at a young age. He attended De La Salle Collegiate High School and then moved on to study at the University of Detroit Mercy for undergraduate education. There, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology and participated in clubs such as the pre-dental student association and service communities that provided outreach in local areas around Detroit. From there, he moved to Chicago to study at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine-Illinois, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Marco performs multiple facets of dentistry, including implantology, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics, as well as cosmetic dentistry, having studied the methods under pioneers like Dr. Larry Rosenthal. He finds satisfaction not only in befriending patients but also in ensuring patient education and understanding are at the forefront of every appointment. He appreciates the fact that everyone should have a place to call a dental home, where they feel not only comfortable, but confident.
Dr. Nawrooz Putris was born and raised in Macomb, Michigan. She went to Henry Ford II High School and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Detroit Mercy as part of their Accelerated Seven Year Dental Program.
She considers Detroit home and is proud to provide care to the community that shaped her. Dr. Putris is committed to providing comprehensive dental care and has a strong interest in Invisalign® clear aligner therapy, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, endodontic treatment, and oral surgery. She has completed extensive Invisalign training through Dr. Galler and the American Academy of Clear Aligners (AACA), as well as advanced training in endodontics, including coursework with Dr. Buchanan, allowing her to offer efficient, modern treatment tailored to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Putris takes pride in getting to know her patients and believes that trust and education are essential to successful dental care. Her goal is to provide high-quality dentistry while helping patients feel informed, comfortable, and confident throughout their treatment experience. She believes that oral health is closely connected to overall health and approaches each patient’s care with this philosophy in mind, focusing on long-term function, health, and aesthetics.
Outside of the office, Dr. Putris enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and discovering new restaurants as a self-proclaimed foodie.
